thermal baths
The Römerbad
The Thermal Römerbad is particularly impressive due to its spacious wellness oasis with a sauna world spread across three levels and 12,000 square meters. Each level has its own theme.
The lowest level, “Romanum,” is reminiscent of ancient Rome, where the art of sauna bathing was celebrated even then. The “Noricum,” with its raw, fragrant wooden logs, creates a bridge from the interior to the surrounding Nockberge mountains. On the third level, “Maximum,” you can breathe deeply, lean back, and enjoy the saunas with a magnificent view.
The St. Kathrein Thermal Baths
With the motto “dive in, submerge in, resurface,” the St. Kathrein Family & Health Spa invites you to breathe deeply and unwind. Since the St. Kathrein Spa boasts the largest water surface of any Carinthian spa, you can swim laps in the lap pool without worry. You can do this in both the indoor and outdoor pools. Afterwards, you can pamper yourself with a massage or beauty treatment.
Culinary
Culinary highlights
On the sunny side of the Alps, you’ll learn one thing above all from the locals: to enjoy life and food to the fullest. Over the centuries, delicious dishes and an unparalleled variety of culinary delights have developed in the valleys and basins of Carinthia.
Even in the gentle alpine world of the Nockberge, hunger isn’t far behind. Regional delicacies provide true culinary delights, because one thing is particularly important in traditional cuisine: the sustainability and regionality of the products.
Slow Food
In recent years, the topic of “Slow Food” has become increasingly important throughout Carinthia and places the emphasis on the use of seasonal and regional products.
The initiative thus points the way to a new path of sustainability and valuable enjoyment.
Slow Food not only deals with the philosophy of conscious enjoyment, but also encourages a critical discussion of the topics of “nutrition” and “food”.
The goal is to offer you a responsible, environmentally friendly, and health-conscious approach to the origin, production, processing, and consumption of products. The municipality of Bad Kleinkirchheim is part of the Slow Food Villages – Places of Good Life project, which aims to restore Slow Food Villages to their original role as communities of sustainable coexistence and sites of food production.
You can buy regional products in Bad Kleinkirchheim at farmers’ markets, farm sales, or farm shops.
